Notes
Mash
Total Water Needed : 20.5L
Mash Water : 14.5L
Sparge Water : 6L
Boil
Didn't quite hit the final volumes were just over 1L extra, maybe need to adjust the sparge or mash water. Probably the later as it was very wet.
We have been setting the wattage for the element down to 2300 rather than 2500, so maybe losing less in the boil off.
Fermentation
Kicked off fermentation at 20 degrees c, the yeast is happy between 18 - 30.
Only pitched half the packet as a whole pack was ending up with a lot more cake on the bottom of the fermenter.
Packaging
Put about 9L in a keg and the rest into 6 bottles.
Final Gravity is a bit high maybe need to revisit the mash and try with a single temp infusion.
The taste of the sample is quite nice, lots of malt character in there. Need to see how this matures over the next month or so.
